Pakistan violence: How the citizens of Karachi are coping

The governor of Pakistan's Punjab province, Salman Taseer, was assassinated on 4 January.

While many liberals consider the assassination a disaster, some on the religious right have been celebrating it.

Violence in Pakistan's cities is not rare; the southern port city of Karachi has witnessed shootings and kidnaps for decades.

The BBC's Hugh Sykes went to Karachi to find out how people are coping with the shoot-outs.
