Ashleigh Robinson, 19, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 22 years, while her 16-year-old sibling Holly was detained for a minimum of 18 years.
Antoni Robinson, 61, was stabbed 15 times in his Old Colwyn home as the pair and their boyfriends tried to get their hands on the contents of his safe.
Speaking outside court after the hearing, the pair's stepsister Claire Robinson paid tribute to her father.
"As a family we have waited patiently to see these heartless individuals become accountable for their crimes.
"Today is that day and justice has been done.
"My dad was a kind and loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather and we have all been deeply affected and saddened by his death.
"It has been proved today without a doubt that our dad Toni did nothing to provoke this and he did not deserve to have his life taken away so cruelly.
"Our lives have been torn apart, but after today we will endeavour to put the pieces back together and embrace life again in our dad's memory."
The sisters "supported and encouraged" the frenzied late-night attack on Mr Robinson in July last year, Mold Crown Court heard.
They were convicted of murder alongside boyfriends Gordon Harding, 20, and Sacha Roberts, 19, following a month-long trial.
Harding was jailed for a minimum of 22 years, while Roberts was ordered to serve 20 years.
The court heard that the four had hatched a plot to sneak into Mr Robinson's bedroom to find out what cash and jewellery was in his safe.
Harding repeatedly knifed Mr Robinson, who was asleep in bed, using a knife handed to him by Roberts as the girls stood by, prosecutor Andrew Thomas QC told the jury.
All four were sentenced today by Mr Justice Griffith Williams, who labelled their crimes "Judas-like and wicked".
